Yesterday, I attended a wedding function 👰🏻. As usual did my own makeup, but this time with a different but also the most hyped-and-raved-about sponge most commonly known as "beauty blender". And trust me, it made my foundation application flawless! No techniques required, just *bounce, bounce* and you're good to go! ✅ Also used it to blend my concealer, and it worked like a charm.

Previously I used RT's miracle sponge which is good but I felt the difference immediately. Beauty blender is much softer and bouncier. Plus, it doesn't drink up your foundation like RT one does. *sigh*

Though, it's not like RT one is not good , it's just that it drinks up too much of foundation and thus, harder to clean properly. Mine one hasn't even lost it's shape but there are a few stains that are stubborn af.

Anyway, here are the pics:

Close up picture of Original Beauty Blender. (it's tiny but get huge when damped)
I purchased the one that comes with a mini solid cleanser.

Pros:
  • Flawless Application
  • Easy to use.
  • Soft
  • Good foundation coverage (I used it with MM Silk Foundation)
Cons:
  • Expensiiiiiiiiveeee!
  • Takes wayyy too much time to dry off!

Where to Get it from & Price:
You can pretty much get it from any makeup/online Facebook pages now. I also got it from an online page during an Eid ul Adha flash sale! So I got like 10% off the original price but still it's expensive.

Today i am sharing (more like spilling...) my skincare secrets! It's quite simple and doesn't involve a heck load of products.

Washing:

I have been using Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Face for over 3 months now and still using it 'cause it's that awesome!

Himalaya Herbals Neem Face Wash

Helped me a lot with acne and acne scars.
Zaps any breakouts or pimples!
Isn't that amazing?

Exfoliating/Cleansing:

Next up are two products that I alternate between i.e. Hollywood Style Facial Skin Polish & Pixy Cleansing Milk.

I use Hollywood Style Facial Skin Polish whenever I have been out n about and haven't done exfoliation that week.

Hollywood Style Facial Skin Polish
Removes dirt and dead skin cells.
Makes skin baby soft!

I use Pixy Cleansing Milk whenever I feel like that I haven't cleansed my skin in a while. I use it two days a week.

Pixy Cleansing Milk

Does the job!
Better than Pond's one.

Moisturizing:

Now comes the most important part of skincare i.e. moisturizing! I use Vaseline for my lips whenever they are chapped. And alternate between Nivea Soft & Simple Hydrating Moisturizer for moisturizing my face and hands.

L-R: Vaseline, Nivea Soft, Simple Hydrating Moisturizer

Well, that's my skincare routine. So simple!

Yesterday, I went to buy a few lipsticks and lip liners for someone and ended up buying two for myself. ;)
Medora has a beautiful and amazing range of colors from deep colors to light ones! And each shade is different and beautiful.
The ones I bought are more of a summer-y shades i.e. peachy and pinky (that's my blog's name...hehe)
Shades I got:
  • Tender Peach (Matte 236)
  • Antique Pink (Matte 233)
L to R: Medora Matte Lipsticks & Pixy Cleansing Milk
L to R: Packaging & Code of Tender Peach & Antique Pink
L to R: Tender Peach & Antique Pink
The only down side to Medora lipsticks is that they are a little bit drying. While pigmentation, color and everything is really very good for the price! Packaging is standard plastic-y with a hint of gold. Overall I love them. Gonna add a few more to my Medora collection soon!

Little Review: I also got PIXY cleansing milk. It's really good. I have used it twice yet. It's fragrance is pretty similar to Pond's white beauty cleanser. But I like PIXY more!

Price & Where to buy:
  • Medora lipstick: Rs.100/- each
  • PIXY cleansing milk: Rs. 135/- for 130 mL
I got lipsticks from Al-Fatah and PIXY cleansing milk from local grocery mart.

I have always been a fan of Essence's Longlasting Eye liner. It's perfect and I love it. I also happen to like their eye pencil from the 'longlasting' range.

Today, I'm reviewing two of their products, one of them is Lipliner and the other one is 3D eyeshadow.

Essence doesn't really have a variety of lip-liners just the basics i.e. red, nude and one other color. I love me some red lipsticks so of course lip lining is a must. So I bought the Essence Longlasting lipliner in '01 Ready for Red'.

I love LORAC PRO palette for its shimmers rather than mattes. But in my opinion, it's missing one shade i.e. Silver-y. So, I wanted  something shimmery but in budget. >.<
So I got the Essence's 3D Eyeshadow in '05 irresistible first love'

Here's what they look like:

Essence Longlasting lipliner in '01 Ready for Red'
Essence's 3D Eyeshadow in '05 irresistible first love'

And OMG! the difference a lip liner can make in overall lipstick game is 'huge'. Lip liner basically even outs the shape of your lips and gives you a better idea when you apply the actual lipstick, Essence's lipliner is really good. You don't have to sharpen it. Just twist it and line your lips!

As far as the 3D eyeshadow, it is not from the 'longlasting' range. It comes in dinky little plastic packaging with two eyeshadows.

It lasted on me 6 good hours! It says on it that 'apply wet for an even more intense effect. I prefer it applying wet with fingers rather than a wet eye-shadow brush. I used water and another time I used makeup setting spray. With water, it applied smoothly and lasted longer.

here's what they look like on me:

sorry It faded a bit but you can see the shape

Price:
I got lipliner for $2 and eyeshadow duo for $4.50

Where to buy:
Al-Fatah or anywhere online/stores.

That's it for today! I hope you like it!

Hey people!

At the end of last December, I got a really bad skin allergy (called 'hives' aka welts). It was pretty bad with super itchy bumps and swelling of face, arms etc. I'm gonna skip the details and the story! As a side effect of using face ointments on my face, pimples and acne happened! I have never in my whole life faced anything like acne. I took acne medicines and used a medicated cream for 2 weeks, but still it didn't help the sebum and stuff.

So then, someone recommended me Himalaya's Purifying Neem Face Wash. It helped a lot! After using it for a few weeks my acne was pretty much gone!

But Alas! the acne scars and dryness remained. Dry patches near eyes, lips, nose etc. I tried to massage in Coconut Oil, Olive Oil and honey before washing my face. I tried cleansing instead of using face-wash. I used Nivea's Soft cream afterwards. Nothing helped! And on the top of that, I usually had to wash my face  three times with face wash if I had been outdoors. I sometimes, didn't even wash my face as I was afraid of dryness so much. I even tried using Vaseline on dry patches...

I was about to give up, but then, this idea pop-ed in to my mind. I present you my ultimate dryness killing weapons!

I know, I know, what all of you are thinking, they are the same ones I just mentioned and they didn't help.
Well, here's my little trick:

I wash my face and then dry it up. Then I mix a tiny bit of Nivea Soft cream and a tiny bit of Vaseline together on my palm and then massage it on to my face. Do it before going to bed. Then in morning wash your face as you normally would (I use Himalaya Purifying Neem Facewash). And use any moisturizer. I use the one pictured below for day time.

Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturizer

Note:
  • My skin type: Dry (in winters) & Combo (in summers). Not really acne-prone.
  • I still haven't found anything to help the acne scars.
  • Why this trick works? here's my theory: The actual weapon that works awesomely here is Vaseline. When used alone, I found it super sticky and thus not really spreading on to my face/skin. With lotion/cream its texture gets changed and it applies more smoothly & equally.
  • I use Simple Kind to Skin Hydrating Light Moisturizer not very often, as it is not readily available and is kind of expensive compared to lotions and creams we get from stores here. It is no doubt, my favorite as it is not scented.
  • And be sure to get the original Vaseline and not cheap knock-offs.

Hey gals!

I know, I know...what all of you are thinking right now. Kardashians? nuh-uh!!! Well, I'm not a big fan (or a fan) of Kardashians and Jenners. But hey, you don't have to like them to like their products, right? Let's start the review:

I got it as a wedding gift about 6 months ago. And since then I have been meaning to review this beauty!

What does the bottle packaging says on the back?

"Be as intoxicating and irresistible as Aphrodite. An enticing scent that draws people to you like bees to blooms. An alluring blend of raw wild honey and voluptuous fl orals, Pure Honey harnesses the legendary aphrodisiac power of honey to bring you Kim Kardashian's most sensual fragrance yet. Aphrodite, goddess of love, used honey as her own personal nectar. Kim's borrowed the nectar of the gods to make a fragrance as golden and radiant as she is, for a little taste of heaven. A tantalizing fl oral gourmand fragrance that opens with a shimmering top note of vivacious red rose and soft freesia, Pure Honey guarantees instant attraction. Nectar rich floralcy combines with a pure honey note heart from the Breche Abeilles Absolute Orpur honeycomb for a feminine, playful collage, while the creamy, rich finish of coconut, vanilla, and musk rounds out the delicious scent."

Isn't it just so beautiful? The box the bottle comes in is of champagne-y golden color (honey colored). And the best part is the triangular shaped bottle. It has a tiny bee with KK's pure honey written on it. On the top of that, It smells like honey...sweet but a bit floral (so it's not too sticky sweet) with a lot of undertone scents.

You will like it if you like sweet warm scents which are not too sweet that they make you sick. It lasts a few good hours (varies from person to person).

Price: 50ml for £ 30 (GBP)

Hey gals!

Today's post is gonna be about something that I have been meaning to post for the longest time. The product I'm gonna review today is Always' sanitary pads i.e. Always ultra thin - extra long (7).

I'm someone who struggles with the "heaviest" flow and cramps. I have tried everything from Always' maxi (the 8-hour crap) to diamond thin ones but to-date these remain a favorite. And here's why!

  1. Gel-core means better absorption.
  2. Last longer than any other (maxi/diamond) - maximum duration is 4 hours.
  3. Locks odor
  4. Thinness
  5. Better than Maxi/Diamond
  6. Dry top layer, an option which is not available in Maxi/Diamond.
Oh and on a friendly note, don't mix these up with Always' ultra thin - long (8 pads) those have half pink and half blue packing. While these ones just have blue and no pink! + extra long.

Today's post is going to be all about lip products. I don't own lots of lipsticks as I'm really picky about 'em. My lips tend to get dry a LOT no matter whatever kind of moisturizing lipstick I use.

So, let's start with today's post. I will just describe the color of the lip products I own and which ones are my faves. It's sorta review post all in one.

Here are the lippies that I own!

Pros & Cons:

Maybelline's Baby Lips (pinkish colored/tinted): Fairly tinted BUT I don't like the scent and taste. And it's not that moisturizing at all. I don't use it that much, so $3 wasted!!!
Classics Lipstick (blue-toned red): I have to say it's amazing, I mean for the price it's a pretty blue-toned red lipstick for every occasion. Costed me like 3 bucks!
Revlon's Colorbrust Lip Butter (tint of peach color): A bit moisturizing and pretty packaging. I use it when I just want a bit of shine and color on my lips. Only down side is that it costed me $11.
Oriflame's Soft Coral lipstick (tint of coral color): When I don't use Revlon's lip butter and don't want bare lips, I go for this one. It's good and costed like $3. Plus it has expiry date mentioned on it. Only down side is that it is super duper soft and I had to put it in fridge in summers so that it doesn't break or melt.
Rimmel London's Provacalips (red): This stuff is amazing, like super amazing. The packaging says '16HRS' but I rocked this red for 16HRS+. It wouldn't transfer and it would stay on your lips like you were born with this lip color. It comes with gloss on one end so you can rock glossy lips if you want to. The only downside is that 'taking it off' is a serious job. I only wear it when I have to. A little tip: use a makeup wipe to clean it off.
Elf's Matte Lip Color (cranberry red/maroon): It's good and I love it. It's the only dark colored lippy that I own. Got for like $4 in a sale.
Colourpop Ultra Lip Matte (fuchsia): Love, love, love! (the only downside is that it's pretty pricey in Pakistan)
Rimmel London's Apocalips (fuchsia): Like it. It's a dupe for Colourpop's Ultra Lip Matte in 'Mars'. Only thing is that it's not matte.
DMGM Xtreme Matte Chubby Stick (orange-red): Super matte so moisturize your lips before hand! I have got tons & tons of compliments whenever I wore it. Awesome color for spring but I have rocked it in winters too! hehe.

Medora has a very good range of lipsticks and shades, but it's all about personal preferences I avoid using cheap lip products as they make my lips drier and my skin is super sensitive! 'Classics' lipsticks are priced quite reasonably if you want to go for pocket-friendly option. All the  lip products mentioned in this post are really good price wise and quality wise. I never had any problem with any of them.

That's all for today!

Good evening, gals!

Today, I'm going to share my views about Colourpop's ULTRA MATTE LIP in MARS. Also I would be sharing a dupe! So yeah!

Let's have a look!
COLOURPOP - ULTRA MATTE LIP in 'MARS'

What Colorpop has to say about it:
"Whether you’re from Mars or Venus this red fuchsia will be fab on you"

 What I like about it:
  • it dries out to super duper matte.
  • texture is good.
  • doesn't dry out lips.
  • stays on for several hours (that includes eating + drinking + meals). Yes, it will stay on your lips even after that! color pay off is amazing.
  • suits South Asian skin. (I'm not too fair and I'm not too dark).
  • scent-less. I totally appreciate it!
What I don't like about it:
  • it transfers even after drying out to matte.
  • pricey if you get it from Pakistani Facebook Makeup Pages...like I did.
Dupe?! Yes, please!

Who doesn't want something similar and a bit cheaper? When I got CP's Mars...somewhere in my weirdo brain I knew that it is very similar to a lip lacquer I already own (it was FML kinda moment for me. I wanted a different color...oh well!) So i swatch-ed both on the back of my hand. And dang! there are very very very similar in color/shade.

The dupe for CP's UML 'Mars' is: "Rimmel London Apopcalips in APOCALIPTIC -303 "

Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip in MARS (above)
Rimmel London Apopcalips in APOCALIPTIC -303 (below)
They have a very different formula though. What is different?
  • Colourpop's Mars has matte finish while Rimmel London's Apocaliptic has glossy/lacquer finish.
  • Packaging of Rimmel London's is really good for the price range. While that of Colorpop is tacky.
  • Rimmel London Apocaliptic has vanilla-ish taste and scent to it. While Colourpop's Mars is tasteless and scentless (at least to my buds :D )
Where to get:

I got Colourpop Ultra Matte Lip in Mars for: Rs. 1150/- + Rs. 300/- delivery charges = Rs. 1450/- (pretty pricey!!!)
I got it from a Facebook Page called 'International Makeup in Pakistan'. Prices may vary (range could be Rs. 1150-1200/- on different pages).
While, I got Rimmel London Apocalips from Al-Fateh and price range was Rs. 1000-1100/-

So for the price and something similar in color i think Rimmel London is quite good. But in terms of color range and matte Colourpop wins!

Hey gals!

First of all, HAPPY NEW YEAR to everyone! :)

Who doesn't love to look nice but most importantly smell nice?! Well, today I'm going to review CK's Beauty.

Let's have a look at this beauty!

*

Composition: Calvin Klein Beauty evokes the ultimate power of femininity and sophistication, while capturing the spirit of a woman who is beautiful from the inside out, with an aura that radiates. This is cleverly done with a new interpretation of a lily, a neo-lily. The neo-lily is the heart and soul of Calvin Klein beauty. A sophisticated flower that is the essence of femininity, the lily is also radiant and powerful. The fragrance was created by Sophie Labbe, of such notes as ambrette seed in a top, jasmine in a heart and cedar-base.
  • Pros:
  1. You are going to like it if you are into 'feminine', warm, musky and 'floral' scents.
  2. It lingers and lasting power is good.
  3. Non-seductive.
  4. Clean scent.
  • Cons
  1. You will not like it if you like sweet scents rather than floral.

I got this as a gift last year. And it has become my favorite + signature scent. It comes in 30, 50 and 100ml bottles respectively. You can get it from Al-Fatah or any other well-known stores/malls.

What is/are your fav scents from CK? Let me know!
